Terms governing refunds and cancellations for fees and online payments

This policy describes how the National Institute of Technical and Health Education Council (NITHEC) handles refunds and cancellations for payments made through our website and payment gateway.

Overview

This Refund and Cancellation Policy applies to all payments made to the National Institute of Technical and Health Education Council (NITHEC) through our website, including admission fees, tuition fees, and other program-related payments made online via our payment gateway.

Cancellation Window

Requests for cancellation and refund of fees must be submitted in writing within 7 days of the date of payment. Requests received after this window will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed a refund.

Admission Fee and Registration Fee are non-refundable once paid, regardless of the cancellation window, as these confirm the reservation of a seat in the program.

What Is Eligible for Refund

The following amounts may be refunded, subject to applicable deductions:

  • Tuition fee paid in advance for a program not yet commenced
  • Security deposit, on completion or valid withdrawal from the program
  • Duplicate or excess payments made in error
  • Payments for a program that NITHEC is unable to deliver
Non-Refundable Items
  • Admission Fee and Registration Fee
  • Examination Fee, once the examination form has been processed
  • Identity Card Fee and Uniform Fee
  • Any payment gateway or transaction charges incurred on the original payment
Refund Process and Timeline

To request a refund, email us at [email protected] with your name, application/enrollment ID, payment reference number, and reason for cancellation.

Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 7-14 business days from the date of approval. Actual credit to your bank account or card may take a few additional days depending on your bank or card issuer.

Failed or Duplicate Transactions

If an amount is debited from your account but the transaction status shows as failed, or if you are charged more than once for the same payment due to a technical error, the excess amount will be automatically reversed by our payment gateway within 5-7 business days. If it is not reversed automatically, please contact us with your transaction details.
